Solo Trip
"Solo Trip" is a debut series of figurative paintings navigating the complex boundary between female autonomy and vulnerability in public spaces.
Conceptually, the series confronts the pressure placed on women to diminish their presence in order to feel safe. The recurring motif of a casual drink functions as a symbol of radical peace. The artworks represent a rare, romanticized state of freedom; the simple right to be careless without the constant anxiety of a threat.
By deliberately omitting the head, the paintings strip away specific identity. The idealized female form becomes a universal vessel, an open invitation.
Through a visual language of saturated palettes, bold color-blocking, and high contrast, these artworks construct a sanctuary of absolute reclamation.
Ultimately, "Solo Trip" is an architectural act of taking up space. The artworks invite the viewer to step into the canvas and inhabit a world where safety, freedom, and self-expression are absolute.
